committed to the energy transition, providing products and services for when our customers and the wider market are ready to adopt them,” Bryan opens.
“ The Certas Energy UK Mobility division is neatly divided into three main areas: retail; fuel cards, HGVs, and truck stops; and Snap, a digital payments platform for the truck stop sector. Within retail, our operations are split across both manned and unmanned sites. These include sites owned and operated by Certas, of which we currently have just under 80, and ones we supply through wholesale relationships, which total more than 400 under contract with the Gulf Oil brand. We have a fantastic e-mobility business, and we’ re just about to launch our first high speed charger on one of our companyowned sites, as well as trialing new renewable diesel called EvoUltra.
“ Moving to the fuel cards, HGVs, and truck stops part of the company, we have a sizeable commercial fuel card business where we sell across the UK under direct relationships with fuel card issuers. We operate 28 bunker HGV sites across the country, from John o’ Groats right down to Land’ s End, and we now have two truck stops, one called The Hollies in Cannock, and another in Watling Street in St Albans, which we’ ve very recently opened. We’ re aiming to expand the truck stop part of the business by reaching ten stops by 2030.
“ Late last year, we also opened an HGV bunker in Warrington,” he adds.“ Designed for HGVs and LGVs, this £ 1.2 million nextgeneration refueling site located at the Omega Business Park operates 24 / 7 with high-speed pumps offering diesel, HVO, and AdBlue. We considered this investment for quite some time, but we decided to go ahead, marking our first step back into mobility investment in recent years.” tlimagazine. com 43
