Transportation & Logistics International has been following Go-Ahead Group’ s journey for several years now, documenting its strategic growth and innovation. We sit down with Daniel Lewis, Chief Commercial
Officer at Go-Ahead Group, to learn more about the investments and developments that the company has introduced over the last 12 months.
“ It’ s been an exciting year for us. We’ ve just agreed a £ 500 million investment in new electric buses for our UK bus operators, which will see just over 1000 electric buses come into service over the next few years. This development marks a huge step forward in our ambition to become a netzero company by 2045 and showcases that we’ re really at the forefront of that transition,” Daniel reveals.
“ We’ ve also made several investments into our people. Firstly, we’ ve launched two brand new state-of-the-art engineering apprenticeship academies – one in London and one in Greater Manchester – which is an exciting step in retraining our engineers for the transition from diesel to electric and directly links to our investment in our EV fleet.
