Republic Asset Development Fund
This growth lever , with multiplying power , creates added value for the national economy , citizens , investments , local communities , the labor market , and the environment .
The fund has completed over 48 development projects , generating over 20,000 jobs and an income of nine billion euros . This includes the recently completed sale of the Attica Motorway to a private company . The deal is the largest in Greek history , bringing in 3.3 billion euros and reflecting a quickly cementing legacy of successful strategic infrastructure projects . Another example is the Corfu superyacht marina , which is expected to bring in millions of euros per year in mooring fees and generate significant collateral investment in the immediate vicinity as new restaurants , entertainment venues , and hotels open to capitalize on the emergent opportunities . The tendering process for Lavrio Port , which consists of a cruise terminal and yacht marina , is also underway . This project aims to develop the port sustainably , supporting multiple stakeholders as well as the surrounding community .
Sustainable development
The fund has also recently sold a 66 percent stake in the Port of Heraklion to the Grimaldi Group for 80 million euros . The group will assist in the decarbonization of the port through investments in new technologies and alternative energy installations . The fund also conducted an IPO of Athens International Airport on the Athens Stock Exchange to raise funds for its development . Alongside these significant milestones , the organization oversees the Recovery and Resilience Fund , an EU grant to Greece worth eight billion euros , encompassing over 70 infrastructure projects aimed at decarbonizing and modernizing assets .
