Driving sustainability across the fleet
BioMarsh is continuing to reduce the amount of carbon it uses, with the compliance team actively targeting further improvements in 2026.“ We’ ve implemented a system that gives us more visibility of our work across the country, and where the vehicles are operating, meaning we can conduct smarter planning in terms of fleet deployment,” Brian reveals.“ This allows us to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary mileage, supporting both carbon reduction and operational performance.”
The company has also transitioned company cars to electric vehicles across managerial and sales teams, alongside supporting tree planting initiatives through its work with Forest Carbon and progressing towards EcoVadis accreditation.
2026 and beyond
Further priorities for the year ahead include growth through tender opportunities, with 30 presently active at different stages.“ We’ re also making structural changes in order to deliver work more regionally and manage people in-area, supported by local depot networks,” Brian concludes.“ One of those areas is Swindon. We’ re also looking at depots in Bury St Edmunds and Lincoln. The depot in Barnsley is already operating; however, we are focusing on scaling that up too.”
This regionalization reflects a broader focus on improving response times and operational efficiency by positioning resources closer to where work is carried out. The acquisition of SewerSurveys UK in February 2026 further strengthens BioMarsh’ s capabilities in CCTV sewer surveys, diagnostics, mapping and technical reporting. ■
